Grammar of Science – Life Science
Life Science encourages wonder for the world God created, helps each child see God’s glory as revealed in His creation and equips students with the tools of scientific study. This class fosters a love for the natural world and the miracle of the human body. While exploring nature and investigating the workings of the human body, students develop skills of careful observation, note-taking, drawing, and focused listening and reading to set a strong foundation for future scientific study. Students participate in exciting projects like the Great American Backyard Bird Count, deliver engaging presentations, and sketch and label the human anatomy and a myriad of critters in their nature journals.
Topics include: the human body, pond and other natural habitats, and the tools of scientific study, including careful observation, note-taking and record-keeping.
