The course of study is to serve as a guide for what a student may take during 4 years of online Christian high school at Wilson Hill Academy. Please see the Graduation Requirements for a list of required courses. Advanced Placement® courses are marked with AP®.  Note also that there are two “tracks” in Math and Science, determined primarily by whether the student has completed Algebra 1 before the 9th grade.

* The Great Conversation 1+4 is an option for students who are new to Wilson Hill Academy and have not been exposed to Homer and other writers from the classical period.  Students in 9th grade may also want to consider World Geography & History if there are concerns about preparation in that area, though no graduation credit is offered for that class. Fundamentals of Academic Writing is recommended for students who are new to the Wilson Hill Academy composition sequence or who have completed LA4 but need more confidence and practice.

** Logic 1 may be taken in the 8th grade, but we have found that students often benefit from waiting until 9th grade for this course.

*** US Government & Economics is a combination class intended to satisfy state requirements for one semester for each area.  The two subjects are taught in a unified manner, but the focus is on government in the fall and economics in the spring.
