Is the study of mathematics simply a set of skills to be memorized in order to serve practical purposes in society? Or, can mathematics also be thought of as a type of language study?

Like the study of Latin, the study of mathematics is cumulative, rigorous, and demanding in nature. It contributes to the formation of logical, accurate and precise thinkers.

At Wilson Hill, we teach college-bound students, and while we recognize that mathematics is eminently practical and worthwhile for their future calling, we acknowledge that traditionally this discipline has served as an inroad to the wonder, wisdom and worship of God. We strive at all curricular levels toward this higher purpose.

Our math teachers at Wilson Hill commit to modeling mastery, wonder and eloquence in their subject area, and expect their students to receive and amplify these very same attributes for the glory of God.
