Section: Schools, Sciences   |   School: School of Logic

Using a mastery-based approach for study and problem-solving skills, students in this course develop a solid foundation in topics from physics and chemistry to equip them for School of Rhetoric science courses. Although they do not submit formal lab reports, through a variety of lab activities, students regularly make and record observations, describe experiments, present data and engage with questions about outcomes. Students consistently evaluate what they learn from a biblical worldview as they consider order and design, the nature of science and scientific modeling, and scientific theories. Topics include matter and atomic theory, energy, forces and motion, waves, sounds and light, types of substances, compounds and chemical reactions.
