Classical Christian academy educator

Although modernist texts can be difficult to read and understand, Annie brings literature to life in her classroom. Students leave Annie’s classes with the confidence and tools to tackle and understand any story. More than anything, Annie loves to help others learn how to look at the world around them and see that all truth is God’s truth.

As an undergraduate, Annie studied literature and philosophy at Wheaton College before finishing a B.S. in environmental science at the University of Oregon and a Certificate of Biblical Studies from Ecola Bible College. She also holds a master’s in Christian apologetics from Houston Baptist University, where her studies focused on C.S. Lewis and the great texts of the Western canon. For the last two decades, Annie has worked to reintegrate education and discipleship as she has homeschooled her three daughters and developed the Faith & Culture ministry at Christ Church Anglican in Austin.

A native Oregonian, Annie loves a good cup of strong coffee and to be in the mountains with her family whenever possible. She also especially enjoys black licorice, Jane Austen and spontaneous dance parties.
